Smiling Mind App – helps people overcome stress by using a simple tool to make a sense of calm, simplicity and happiness. They offer wellness programs which is a free tool for both online and smartphone users. It treats stress, resilience, anxiety, depression and other physical and mental illnesses. This tool adheres to the general skills of personal and social capability and critical and creative thinking. The main topics it offers is education, sport and corporate based programs. I recommend this for MSB students because it is a free app and can help girls that just need some happiness.

 

 

Sport â€“ It relieves stress hormones and releases mood-enhancing chemicals which cope with stress better. With regular aerobic exercise can bring remarkable changes not only to your body but also to mental health. Also a range of behaviour changes while doing sport can also help your self-image which will lead to a better sense of self. I recommend this for MSB students because it will not only clear your mind but will also improve your physical well-being.

 

 

Stress Ball - helps to relieve stress because it keeps your hands busy doing a simple, repetitive movement which eventually becomes almost subconscious. Your anxiety or stress is redirected to the stress ball. I recommend this for MSB students because it can help girls overcome stress by squeezing the ball very tightly letting out all stress and anger.

 

 

 

Support Networks - there are a number of networks such as Kids Helpline, Reach Out and Youth BeyondBlue. These are just some of the many organisations that help with a wide range of topics from stress to suicidal thoughts. Even if you just want to talk to someone over the phone, one of the counsellors can be there to help you. I recommend this for MSB students because the counsellors over the phone could save lives and reach out to those that are having difficulties with school.

 

 

 

 

Mediation - an easy way to clear the mind is by meditating, this could be Yoga, Tai Chi or Pilates. This can help with replenishing your mind and clearing the negative thoughts into positive thoughts. With the slow and relaxing movements of mediation it will help to calm your inner self and make you feel renewed. I reccomend this for MSB students because it will heal the mind and make your outlook on life more wholesome and positive.
